- Under the hood: a lift-support hood that opens like the real thing, plus a screw jack and mechanical tool for changing the tires — yes, the tires come off

Driving-and-fixing play is a development two-for-one: the pedals and steering build gross motor coordination, the tire-change ritual builds sequencing and fine motor skill, and the whole setup fuels the kind of sustained pretend play that a screen never manages.
